GLADYS, Va. – Feb. 20, 2021 – The Intercollegiate Horse Shows Association (IHSA) is launching a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) committee. The new committee will ensure an environment that warmly embraces people from under-represented and under-served communities and advances IHSA procedures and practices. The goal is to celebrate all IHSA members and followers and take an active role in promoting inclusion and equity in the organization.
The newly formed DEI committee seeks individuals to participate, including undergraduate members, alumni and coaches. The committee will be comprised of seven to nine members, with representation from a range of marginalized and under-represented groups to add their perspective and help move the organization forward.

“In keeping with its mission and founding principles, the IHSA is forming the new DEI committee to continue efforts to ensure that all of our members are represented,” IHSA Executive Director Peter Cashman said.
