IHSA Invites Equestrian-Focused Businesses to Register for the Career Fair at 2018 Nationals

Fairfield, Conn. ­­– Feb. 23, 2018 – The Intercollegiate Horse Shows Association (IHSA) will host a career fair during the 2018 National Championship at the Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Friday, May 4, from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.  This event provides equestrian-focused businesses the rare opportunity to recruit talented young people for internships and employment and to educate a collegiate audience about their brands.

More than 500 college students and hundreds of volunteers from across North America will be on hand for the equestrian competition, many of whom hope to secure summer internships, employment and to launch their careers. These young equestrians represent a wide range of subject majors, coursework and expertise.

"This is a great opportunity for companies to recruit the best and brightest young people," said Bob Cacchione, IHSA founder and executive director. "It has been a very successful event and I encourage equestrian brands to participate."

About IHSA

The IHSA was founded in 1967 by Robert Cacchione while he attended Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, New Jersey. The organization was established so that any full-time college student could participate in equestrian competition regardless of economic status, gender or riding level. The IHSA emphasizes learning and sportsmanship and fosters teamwork. The organization has grown to include more than 400 teams and 10,000 members in hunter seat equitation, Western horsemanship and reining. The IHSA encompasses 40 Regions, 8 Zones and 45 states and Canada. College or university teams, individuals, alumni and coaches may become members.
